I need to do this right now.

The topic of today is the ‘N’word. There are so many things to be said but I feel as if I don’t say it right now, well it’ll leave me. I’m not going to talk a lot because I’m rather exhausted but okay lets do it.

  1. One problem I have with this word is that people who aren’t black or African American use it. Everyone knows the root of the word. Everyone knows that it came from a darker part of history ( that was an interesting play on words there huh?) that I assume most of the world isn’t proud of and is trying to fix and mend so why are we still using such things?
  2. I hate when People who aren’t black or African use the ‘N’ word, and then look to me for conformation as if to ask “was it okay that I said that? Am I down enough?” You have the audacity to say it in the first place, have the same imprudence to stick by it, with or without me.
  3. I HATE the fact that people want to feel cool and whatever and use the word as they please, but let me tell you this : All the people who aren’t black or African, and sling around the word ‘nigger’ or ‘nigga’ would not be able to stand and face what a ‘nigga’ has to go through on a daily basis.

I’m pretty much through, I just had to get that off of my chest because it has been eating at me for quite some while.

"Women are expected to be nice and sweet, to make other people feel comfortable. A woman who says ‘hey, I think there’s a problem here’ is being ‘negative.’ A woman who doesn’t smile while she’s being harassed is ‘humourless.’ A woman who prefers to stay focused on tasks is a ‘cold bitch.’ Significant gendering is involved here; women have an obligation to look and act a certain way and when they don’t, they need to be hassled until they do."

This is the only thing on my dash that I constantly reblog because I have this much respect for Tupac.
